THREADS

Our newest lifting and firming treatment is threads. Threads are made of a dissolvable material used to lift and firm areas of the face. There are two types, Mono threads which are “short threads” and Cog threads which are “long threads”.

About Face Clinic use the highest quality Korean threads, TGA-approved in Australia.

Thread treatments are performed in a walk-in, walk–out manner. Local anaesthetic and topical anaesthetic cream is used to ensure patient comfort. Results of the thread treatment generally last for 1–2 years.

Mono "Short" Threads

Mono threads are a “short thread” made of a dissolvable material used to produce collagen in the skin to firm and tighten and reduce wrinkles.

Mono threads can be used anywhere in the face or body. These are ideal for areas where there could be a risk of the “overfilled look” when using dermal fillers.

Popular treatment areas include eye wrinkles and eye-bags, wrinkles around the mouth, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, “double-chin”, neck and more.

Cog "Long" Threads

Cog threads are a “long thread” made of a dissolvable material used to lift the skin and the tissue in the middle and lower face.

Cog threads are used to improve the appearance of a sagging jawline and cheeks, jowls, marionette lines, accordion lines, nasolabial folds and neck.
